Who is Sheila D.?
Sheila D Yeah was born and raised in her hometown of Baltimore, MD. As a early teen, Sheila entered a beauty pageant where she was noticed by an agents and went on to sign with ‘NOVA’ Modeling agency. As a part time model and full time student Sheila was featured on several national ad campaigns; including campaigns for Hair Cuttery, Music video features with former artist Amerie, Magazine features, etc… while maintaining her status as a honor roll student. Sheila’s favorite subject was English, where she discovered her love of writing poetry.
Sheila went on to graduate High School and Straight to Stevenson University in Lutherville, MD where she majored in Legal Studies. It was sometime in her junior year while hanging with her friends in a music studio that Sheila discovered her ear for music. She quickly grew a passion for creating music and her own sound. Sticking with her commitment to her mom, Sheila graduated with her BA degree in Legal Studies in 2010. Immediately after graduation, Sheila D Yeah hit the Road!
Sheila D.Yeah dropped her first EP entitled “Pretty Ratchet” featuring premiere singles “Ballin’ Like I’m Diddy” and “We On” f/ Fat Trel in July 2011.
Single “Ballin Like I’m Diddy” produced by W.R.A.B Mell introduced Sheila D. Yeah to the DMV area as a sassy, classy, witty & lyrical femcee. The video for “Ballin Like I’m Diddy” showing a versatile fly and sexy Sheila D. was released in early May 2011 with production by LiveFreeFilms. This Single, jump started Sheila D’s career and got the attention of some big names including ‘Charlamagne Tha God’ from MTV’s Guy Code, who went on to endorse Sheila D’s smash hit. ( Charlamagne Tha God Endorses Sheila D Yeah Ballin’ Like DIDDY!! )
Sheila D dropped her sophomore EP entitled “Simply Said” as a follow up to her premiere EP Pretty Ratchet.
The EP features 12 tracks including singles “Rewind” and “Baltimore Dope” featuring Fat Trel. These tracks were featured on DMV and Baltimore Hip-hop/Music blogs, along with interviews and reviews in local online magazines and lifestyle blogs Including Dope Music Blog, TheHipHopUpdate and DMV Heat .
Sheila D Yeah has been performing in various states since her premiere single dropped. She’s been featured on shows with MMG artist Fat Trel. She has headlined for Yo Gotti’s Road to Riches tour, performed at Dunk Xchange NYC, and various colleges in the DMV area.

In the summer of 2013, rapper NORE gave Conan an opportunity to open up for him and his group The Good Belt Gang on their 15 city Coast2Coast Mixtape tour. While on tour, NORE saw how actively the crowd was engaged, he immediately nicknamed Conan “The Energy God.”
